Bungunya is located on the Barwon Highway 131 km SE of St George. This free recreational area is enormous, with electric BBQs and hot water showers. We were the only campers. We could not let Lizzie roam as there were burrs in abundance.
This very small grain silo town is dying, population is probably about 12 people.
The Post Office and Fuel Depot have closed only the silos and a lovely neat school left in operation.
I wonder how long the school will remain, although, I guess children come in from the surrounding area. One of the few houses in the town, the owner must have picked up a few drums of green paint at an auction, every construction on the block is painted this green.
