The first thing we had to do on arriving in Tasmania was to catch up with a couple of cousins from the Lovejoy Clan. It's not often we get to see each other so this was something special. On our arrival at Geeveston in the Huon River Valley we were made absolutely welcome at the home of cousin Graeme and his wife Liz. We had a lot to catch up with so the conversations went late into the night. During the days Graeme and Liz drove us all over the area. They went out of their way to show us the area that they proudly live in. Our touring with Graeme and Liz will be shown in our next report. My other cousin in the vicinity is Wendy, who lives at Huonville. Wendy arranged a get-together at her home on the final evening we spent south of Hobart. We had a nostalgic evening looking at old family photographs and finding out what we are all doing with our lives now. It was a real fun night for all of us.
From the front deck of Graeme and Liz's home it is possible to see almost all of their farm and this day was perfect to make that observation.
Panning to the right from the first shot, the apple orchard is not part of their farm.
And panning further right. The country side here looks a treat.
The group shot of the cousins and partners. At the back L to R, Noel, cousin Wendy and cousin Graeme. Front L to R, Judy, Wendy's partner Robin and Graeme's wife Liz. Wendy's dog mostly made it into the shot as well, the cat missed out.
