Final Port Before Embarking on The Spirit of Tasmania

We wouldn't want to travel through Melbourne without first touching base with family in Geelong. We were blessed with excellent weather over our five night stay in The City by the Bay. We had booked passage to Tasmania for the morning sailing on Monday 28th Feb, so for the intervening period we relaxed, enjoyed the company and the fine weather.
It was a warm day and the "boys are tonguing it".
Kyle, Elvis and Harley.
Elvis also took a dip in the Waurn Ponds Creek for a cool-off.
The whole purpose of our walk to the park was a visit to the play ground equipment.
Our visit to Geelong co-incided with the Pakington Street Festival, affectionately known locally as "Pako Festa". Of course every parade is led by a clown.
The parade consists of participants from the many and varied ethnic groups residing in Geelong.
Many of the groups also added rhythm to get your feet tapping.
Many of the traditional national costumes are very colourful and ornate.
No parade is complete without a Scots Pipe Band.
Neither is a parade complete without some pretty girls.
